Abstract Painting Inspired by Turquoise Stone.

Abstract Painting Inspired by Turquoise Stone.

This abstract acrylic painting inspired by turquoise stone. It was done after I did a turquoise stone look on my nails using sharpie pens. I wanted to see if the same methods I used on my nails would work on a painting. The sharpie markers were dissolved and spread with rubbing alcohol and I think gave it a really nice stone look alike effect. I will also use metal foil in a very cool bronze pattern with this as well, but you don't have to use the foil to give a nice look to this painting. Just use more of...

Improve an old painting.

If you have been painting for a while I am sure, like me there are paintings from your past that you like but know that you can improve on now that your skills have improved. But it can also take a long time when used in the conventicle way and it can get a little boring using the same colours for months when there are so many gorgeous colours to choose...

Improve your Painting Faster by going Small.

Are you a beginner, or just learning a new technique or subject? Want to fast track your improvement? Lets face it we all would love to paint a large impressive painting that we can really be proud of. So should we just paint a big canvas and hope it turns out the way we want? I say no. I don't know about you but I find those big canvases can be pretty intimidating. For me a lot of preparation goes into that large  painting before any paint gets anywhere near that big canvas.  Now to a lot of people this...
